Ordering Reference Copies from Other Institutions

Copies of materials not located within the University may be ordered from non-University libraries. You will be charged a fee for the copies and shipping.

How to Apply

Fill in the requester information (name, contact info) along with information regarding the material you would like to have copied on an application form available in each of the libraries, and submit it to the relevant counter. When charging the application to the University, you must have the consent of a faculty member. You can also apply online by logging in to MyLibrary and choosing ILL Reference Copy/Library Loan Request.
It takes 7 to 10 days for copies to arrive. Fees will be collected at the counter to which you handed in your application. If you require the materials sooner, they can be ordered through express mail or fax. Please ask for further details at the library counter.

It costs 35-60 yen per monochrome page plus postage.  (A Color page costs 2-3 times as much as monochrome page.)  Please note some libraries require additional charges.
National Diet Library
24 yen/copy + postage (actual shipping cost) + 150 yen packaging fee + tax

Please fill in bibliographic information fully and accurately (avoiding abbreviations).
Please apply only after confirming that the material is not available within the University.

  • Due to copyright laws, all pages of a book or magazine cannot be copied.
