Book Purchase and requested by students

You may put in request for the library to purchase materials not held by the library. When materials is too expensive or already held is not suitable for university, library can't receive your request.

• Applications are restricted to undergraduate and graduate students affiliated with Kumamoto University.
• Due to annual budget, your request may not be satisfied.
• The maximum application amount per fiscal year is generally 25,000 yen.
  If you wish to purchase more books than that amount, you can apply to become a student book selector.*
  *You can request books that you would like to see in the Central Library's collection (recruitment twice a year).
• Not available for purchase
  Books already in the library (excluding items in laboratory use), periodicals(magazine),  textbooks,　workbooks and other fill-in-the-blank exercise books, books unavailable as new due to being out of print or out of stock, Academically unreliable sources or materials with ambiguous evidence and Materials with highly entertaining that are not directly related to academic purposes.

Online application process

Login to the Kumamoto University Portal. Your University Portal ID and password are required to login.

Please select 'MyLibrary Menu'>'Book Purchace and requested by students'
Please fill in the form and click [Check the request] and [Request] button.

We will inform you when the material you have ordered is ready.
